About Us
We're a labor union serving the firefighters that protect life and property in the City of Aurora.
Aurora Firefighters Local 1290 is a local affiliate of the Colorado Professional Firefighters and the International Association of Firefighters.
Representing more than 400 uniformed fire personnel, Local 1290 provides an all-hazard response for fire suppression, advanced life support, hazardous materials, technical rescue, water, and wildland urban interface for the City of Aurora. In addition, our members educate community members and local businesses through fire inspections and school education programs.

We prioritize a safe and fair working environment and advocate for high safety standards to better aid our firefighters in providing the best service possible to our citizens.
